Weekly Meeting report 31 March 2008

Report by Secretary, PP Don

1.President Precha opened the meeting and acting Sergeant at Arms Rtn John Coughtrie introduces visiting Rotarians and guests (Rotarian Stephen was on business in Phuket).

2. President Precha invites Rotarians and Guests to dinner.

3. President elect Gerard announced his future cabinet will be fill within the next week for the District Assembly and to start our future plans.

4. President of the Rotary Club of Cholburi, President Tossaporn announced that their Rotary chub will not be joining the five club group Installation ceremony due to their having a grand 40th anniversity party this year.

5. PE Gerard reported about his training at the Mini-PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) seminar at the Puthaluang See Fa restaurant. The future plans were announced for each Rotary month and usage of the District organization. He reminded all that we need to work for many years and not just to make plans for one year at a time.

6. Don reported about the update on the water project for the Pongsaket school. The installation team will survey the school and site of the machine.

7. Secretary Don announced the up coming visit of TRF Bob Scott to the area and the agenda for the day trips and the evening dinner. Bob will speak on the Polio Plus project and the yearly $ 100.00 donation to help the clubs to raise $ 100 million in three years. The evening party will be held at the Sigma Resort on Jomtien Beac Road at 19:00. The dinner fee is 500 baht. Ten members will attend the lunch at the Pattaya orphanage and the trip to the Peace Monument for a photo session.

8. District assembly will be held at the Royal Cliff Hotel on the 2,3 & 4 May 2008, the registration fee will be 2,000 Baht and 1,200 Baht for spouses. On the 2nd May a welcome party will be held at 18:00 pm at the Hard Rock Hotel. The six Pattaya Rotary Clubs will assist in the expenses of 15,000baht or the equivalent of sponsorship.

9. Membership data was reported by Rtn George and will coordinate with Webmaster Chris for our Club booklet and installation information.
