Weekly Meeting report 24 March 2008

Report by Secretary, PP Don

1.President Precha opened the meeting and acting Sergeant at Arms Rtn John Coughtrie introduces visiting Rotarians and guests (Rotarian Stephen was on business in Phuket).

2. President Precha invites Rotarians and Guests to dinner.

3. PP Niels advised our first marching grant has been completed and the final report has been submitted to R.I. for completion. The second matching grant for the computer for the schools is waiting for approval. The third matching grant for the Mercy center for the development of a library and computer room is in the development stages.

4. Rtn George announced he is distributing a member data base form for use in our installation booklet and our club files. He passed out the forms to the attending members and will mail the rest to the absent members.

5. Rtn Prarinthorn spoke to the club members of his obtaining water samples from two rural schools, Pongsaket school and Pusai school. The samples will be tested in Bangkok to ensure the filtering machines are sufficient to supply clean drinking water . Secretary Don will mail the samples tomorrow by post.

6. Khun Norasith will bring Dr Robert Scott Rotary International Polio Plus chairman to visit Pattaya on the 9 April 2008 to give our clubs the opportunity to help with the donation project of 100 million dollars and the Bill Gate foundation.

7. All members are asked to support the installation booklet with sponsors and stories about our past year’s events.

8. Initial installation party meeting in Sriracha with five other clubs.

9. Rotary information was announced by Secretary Don on attendance and Club duties.

10.District Assembly will be held on the 2,3 & 4 of May 2008 at the Royal Cliff Hotel, Pattaya.

11.ADG Nick Demet announced a Pot Luck dinner to be held at the Kasira Farms off Sukhumvit Rd. in the Kaomakok area, accessed through Chaiyapreak II off soi 11.
Bring your own food and drink and all will be shared with all visitors.

12.President Preecha closed the meeting.
