Report by Secretary, PP Don
1.President Precha opened the meeting and acting Sergeant at Arms Rtn John Coughtrie introduces visiting Rotarians and guests (Rotarian Stephen was on business in Phuket).
2. President Precha invites Rotarians and Guests to dinner.
3. President Preecha informs the membership of a letter from City Hall about our Peace Park restoration with grass and green shrubs. The cost 17 baht per square meter of grass and area is 900 square meters.
A final estimate by the Board will be reviewed in April.
4. Rtn George would like to see more Fellowships and fund raisers. We usually have a Fellowship every other month with five members being the sponsors.
5. No update on the water project as Rtn Suwana and Rtn Prarintorn were absent this evening.
6. GSE team enjoyed the violin and piano recital sponsored by the Eastern Seaboard club at the Marriot Hotel on 13 and 14 of march 2008. Six clubs will be responsible for the expenses for their stay in Pattaya. The team comes from Oklahoma,USA lead by Alice McGrew.
7.Secretary Don reviewed the duties of the host club for the President’s installation night in July 2008, we will be holding the party in the Town in Town Hotel to ease the gala event.
8. The installation booklet will need sponsors as soon as possible and an updated membership photos/data submitted to Webmaster Chris directly by email or passed to him by hand.
We will be organizing this past years events to make the book interesting and useful. All ideas to coordinate this effort will be greatly appreciated by all members.
