Meeting report by Secretary, PP Don
President Preecha welcommed all and opened the meeting with the Thai National anthem.
Sergeant at Arms, Rotarian Stephen introduced visiting Rotarians and guests
President Preecha invites all to buffet dinner.
1. Report from Service Chairmen Niels, Viway, William and Prasit. No special activity by Chairmen.
2. President Preecha reports on activities of children’s day at the Maprachan School of six scholarship for needy students. Reported by PP Praphan, Niels, PDG Jin on 9 Jan 2008.
3. Secretary Don calls on members to consider service Chairmen’s positions for a club assembly on the 4 of February 2008 at our regular meeting.
4. PP Niels reports on committee meeting on the development of the Elvis concert on the 19 Jan 2008. Our ticket sales are over 200 persons and sponsors have responded very well. Rtn Des reported on the ticket sales and plans for a fine show.
5. Rtn John Coughtrie reported on the distribution of the wheel chair and the fine support of the Expat club and their truck volunteers.
6. PP Gayle Heller thanked our members for their help and support of the wheelchair project. Managing director Lisa Murphy thanked the Rotary club of Pattaya for their assistance in the distribution for the Mobility Project of America. Deputy Director presented a slide show of last years project recipicant and the sports competition.
7. Secretary Don announced the Rotary club of Pattaya’s new years party/fellowship on the 28 of January 2008 at the Town in town hotel at 19:00 pm visiting Rotarian Geoff the smiling policeman spoke on the Pattaya Peace City Monument. Visiting guest Director of Satitt School spoke of her view of our club’s good works in Pattaya.
President Preecha exchanged banners with visiting American Rotarians.
President Preecha closed the meeting with the playing of the Kings anthem.
