Meeting report by Secretary, PP Don
President Preecha was unable to attend tonights meeting so President Elect Gerard welcommed all and opened the meeting with the Thai National anthem.
Sergeant at Arms, Rotarian Stephen was unable to attend for the start of the meeting so Rotarian John Coughtrie introduced visiting Rotarians and guests
President Elect Gerard invites all to buffet dinner.
1.1 Service chairmen updated their areas of responsibility with no recent action.
2. Secretary Don reported of action by city hall not to give us the right to erect a Rotary sign at the required location. We will request a new location that is suitable for the road conditions.
3. Report by john Coughtrie on the donation table at Carrefour on the 5 of Dec 2007 and the cash donation of 6,280 reported by Rtn Fred. We will be welcome to set up a table again upon request to the management as the same for Villa supermarket. We also received food stuffs and milk as a separate donation.
4. Report by Elvis organizer Rtn Alexander and Peter John Creed on the present state of the fund raiser Elvis Extraviganza Show on the 19 of January 2008.
5. Mobility project update by PP Don for the distribution of the 75 wheelchairs on the 12 Jan 2008. PP Don called for volunteers to assist in the distribution of the chairs and equipment by the five Rotary clubs of Pattaya. With full cooperation and financial assistance we will be able to train the needy in a few days. Rtn George Tomlinson will be the chairman for this project and coordinate with Khun Samrit of the handicap center.
6. Secretary Don announced the upcoming party by Rtn Odd at the Bann Dusit for his Nordic Magazine’s fifth anniversary on the 27 th of December 2007. Banndusit is on Wat Yan off Sukhumvit Road.Ban Amphur village.
7. Secretary Don presented a banner from Canada Pincer creek club by PP Karin and her family.
8. Secretary Don passed on President Preecha's greetings for Christmans and the New Year. He reminded the meeting that there will not be a meeting on Monday 24 December nor on Monday 31 December 2007. The next weekly meeting will be on Monday 07 January 2008.
President Elect Gerard closed the meeting with the playing of the Kings anthem.
