Meeting report by Secretary, PP Don
President Preecha welcommed all and opened the meeting with the Thai National anthem followed by the Korean anthem.
Sergeant at Arms, Rotarian Stephen introduced visiting Rotarians and guests
President Preecha invites all to buffet dinner.
1.This was Youth exchange student J.G.'s last meeting as he was about to return to South Africa. He spoke on his learning and love of Thailand. He thanked his host families and presented two bottles of (South African) wine as a thank you gift to President Preecha and Youth Exchange Student Chairman Boonsueb.
2. Police Chief Nopadol was not able to attend our meeting today and we will present his honorary membership at a later date.
3.John MacDonald spoke of our donation table at the Villa Supermarket. Rtn Fred noted that we collected 8,600 baht for the Mercy center. We will have another donation table at the Carrefour supermarket on the 5 of Dec 2007 as reported by Secretary Don.
4.PP Praphan announced the schedule of the King’s birthday celebrations on the 5 of Dec 2007. We will meet at School # 2 at 08:00 am and at school # 2 for the evenings celebrations and march to the candle light respect.
5. Father of the year awards for two of our members,PDG Jin and PP Praphan at the Sammitivij Hospital on the 6 the of Dec 2007at 8:30 am.
6. President of our Sister Club from Korea, District 3600, Cheongpyeong spoke of our future relationships and offered his Club’s banner and good luck presents to all members as a Korean symbol of good luck.
7. PP Niels spoke of our Club’s pleasure on the matching computer grant with the Rotary Club of Cheongpyeong to supply ten local schools with new computers and equipment. He also spoke of our relationship of new projects to aid the Thai local community and thanked all visiting Rotarians.
President Preecha exchanged a commerative plaque for this honorable day of sister club bonding.
8. PP Warin from Ban Buang club spoke of his Club’s future projects and upcoming meting at Chol Buri with Past International President to accept clothing and blankets for the people of the Notheast in the cold season. We hope to raise cash to help with supplies and other necessaries and food products.
President Preecha closed the meeting with the playing of the Kings anthem.
