Summary Meeting Report 29 October 2007

Meeting report by Secretary, PP Don

President Precha opens meeting with Thai National anthem and invites guest to dinner.

1. 4 Avenues of Service Director reports
Club service chairman Viwat reported on club status as follows :

  • a. Club’s governmental relations are very good
  • b. Club’s fellowship and birthday celebration are very good
  • c. Member’s attendance needs to be monitored and sick members should be helped.

    Vocational service chairman William reported on the RYLA program and all the participants had a wonderful time making new friends and compainship. He noted that very little parent participation.

    Community service chairman Prasit had no update as of this time.

    International service chairman Niels announced that next month is Rotary foundation month and he will speak on the responsibilities and duties of our club in the foundation.

    2. Secretary Don stated we had a great response in our free cataract operation of 800 participants in Pattaya and Satahip area. 230 people will have an appointment . Samtivej, Sirirahca hospital received over 1,300 participants and many people will receive the operation next month.

    3.Rtn Alexander will submit his proposal of an Extravaganza Elvis concert as a club fund raiser at the next board meeting.

    4.Pastor Fred said he had poster size photos to set up a charity table at the local supermarkets.
    He informdd the member of his fund raiser this coming Sunday 4 of Nov 2007 at he Bangkok Pattayta hospital on the 10 th floor at 18:00 pm as a charity dinner/entertainment fund raiser .
    The ticket are 500 all inclusive of show and dinner.

    5. Secretary Don informed all committee members of the five Pattaya Rotary’s meeting at the Royal Cliff Hotel on Saturday the 10 Nov 2007 at 19:00 Meal will be a la carte.

    6. President Preecha announced the wheel chair planning meeting at the Redemptorist handicap School on the 1 of Nov at 18:00 pm and Party on the 3 Nov 2007 18:00 for the training staff and planning committee.

    7.PP Chalor asked all member to help pre-sell tickets to our scientific palm reading fund raiser on the 18/19 Nov at the Town in Town Hotel. He asked for a report on ticket sold next weekly meeting.

    8. PP Boonsurb announced to all members of his mother’s 100 day ceremony on the 4 the Nov at 11:00 am to the temple in Bangkok by his minivan.

    9. President Preecha exchanged banner with visiting Rotarians and gave them the floor to speak about their home clubs.

    President Preecha closed the meeting with the playing of the Kings anthem.
