ROTARY CLUB OF PATTAYA

The Rotary Club of Pattaya unveiled a beautiful black granite monument in the Pattaya Peace Park making our city the first Rotary International Peace City in Thailand at a ceremony on Thursday 23 February 2006, World Peace and Understanding Day.

It is our intention on 23 February every year to organize an International Peace Conference here in Pattaya, Thailand. We welcome suggestions for speakers and panelists for this conference.

We will also organize a project every year encouraging the young generations in our community to focus on the topic of peace. This year we will organize a painting competition among students in the Pattaya City Schools. We will award a prize to one student from each of the 10 schools, and also a prize for the grand winner of the whole competition.

We ask Rotarians to come to Pattaya to participate in the conference and help us promote peace in the world.

We also ask companies, individuals, clubs or districts to become sponsors by donating funds towards organizing the conference and the painting competition.
