The Rotary Club of Pattaya held their 5th Fellowship Party of the current Rotary year on Monday 14 May 2007. It was held just outside Pattaya at the home of Rotarians Stephen and Chris.
The party was held in a the garden (fortunately a tent had been erected) and started at 1930, despite torrential rain starting at 1800 and continuing for the rest of the evening, around 35 Rotarians and Guests attended the event. These included 4 visiting Rotarians who had travelled from Satahip for the event.
The newest members of the Rotary Club of Pattaya were also formally inducted into the club. All were welcomed by President Niels and were presented with their club pins by PDG Jin and membership certificates and flowers by President Niels, Fellowship Activity Chairman Rotarian Colin and the visiting Rotarians from Satahip.
President Niels announced that he was very pleased to be able to inform us that he had received confirmation from Rotary Foundation that our application for matching grant for the Computer project has been succesfull.
Entertainment was provided by a Pilipino Band along with our own Rotarian Colin joining in. A selection of Thai and International food was provided along with sticky rice and Mango, the mango’s coming from Rotarian Stephen and Chris’s own garden. The evening was all helped along with copious amounts of soft drinks, beer and whisky.
Despite the very wet weather a good time was had by all
