Rotary President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) 06 May 2007

The Rotary districts 3300, 3340 and 3360, covering Thailand except the greater Bangkok area, held a seminar on 6th May 2007 at the Welcome Hotel, Jomtien, Pattaya to train the incoming club presidents of all the Rotary Clubs in these 3 districts about their duties when taking office on 1st July 2007 until 30th June 2008.

Incoming Rotary District Governors Yutthakit Manajitt from District 3330 (South), Anon Jaritwala from District 3340 (Esarn), and Anuwat Phoowaset from District 3360 (North) jointly presided over the seminar.

The seminar started at 8 am when Rotary International Director Noraset Patthamanan of District 3350, stepped up on stage to make an opening speech, followed by District 3340 present Governor Sub-Lt. Pheera Pothiphiphit who explained the purpose of the training.

Rotary International is a global network of community volunteers with more than one million members in 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Rotarians take upon them the duty to assist society with kindness and compassion. They bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service and get involved in local charity work and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
Members meet weekly for breakfast, lunch or dinner, which is a social event as well as a time to organize work on their service goals.

Pattaya has 5 Rotary clubs with the "Mother Club" of our city, the Rotary Club of Pattaya being the biggest in the District 3340.
