On Saturday 30 September 2006, Charity Club of Pattaya held their Annual Charity Gala Dinner, Grand Prize Draw & Auction in the Napalai Room at the Dusit Resort, Pattaya.
The evening commenced with a welcome Wine Reception on the Terrace outside the Napoli Room.
The ticket price included a vast Thai & International Buffet and free bar throughout the evening.
Entertainment was provided throughout the evening by a Live Band and a show by the ladies from Tiffany Show, Pattaya. All the entertainers had donated their time for free.
Lucky draw tickets were available with a magnificent selection of quality prizes. The main prize was a Return flight to Hong Kong with accomadation provided for 5 nights at two different high class hotels. The total value of this prize was B100,000. The second prize was also for a return flight to Hong Kong and 5 nights hotel accomadation, total value B83,000.
There was also an auction of which comprised of
A Signed picture of Lennox Lewis Plus A limited edition set of Jamaican stamps.
A Signed picture of Steven Gerrard lifting the 2005 Champions league trophy.
A pair of gilded wooden divinities in Sawatdee position about 1 foot in height of Burmese origin as validated on the base.
A 90 Year Old Horseshoe shaped Chinese Chair.
A Coffee Table depicting a Carved Thai Village.
29” Flat Screen Colour T.V.
A 3 Night Stay for 2 People Including Breakfast in a Pool Villa at The Evason Hideaway in Hua Hin.
A total of 469,000 Baht was raised at the event.
This money will be divided up as follows:-
B109,000 for completion of a classroom building at a school near to Rayong.
B120,000 for the charity projects of The Rotary Club of Pattaya
B120,000 for the charity projects of the Freemasons, Westwing
B120,000 for the Camillion centre
Rotary Club of Pattaya, President Niels Colov said that he was very impressed with the number of prizes offered for the lucky draw and auction, saying that he has not seen prizes of such a value anywhere else in Pattaya.
The events success was due to the hard work of a very small number of volunteers who are The Charity Club of Pattaya.
