Bartercard Pattaya in conjunction with The Rotary Club of Pattaya and Pattaya People Media Group organized a “Bartercard Trade Expo” event on 10th March at the excellent Town in Town Hotel, Central Road, Pattaya.
Mr. Niels Colov, President of the Rotary Club of Pattaya and CEO of Pattaya People Media Group, opened the event at 10.30am.
With a total of 108 exhibition stands, old and new Bartercard members including guests from Australia, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket had the chance to meet, make business, trade exchanges and also expand their marketing businesses over 5 hours of trading. It was estimated that over 1,000 business owners attended the event and 10 million baht sales were done on the day. This will grow over the weeks as contracts made on the day will be completed.
Many products from cosmetics to brand new motor vehicles from Bartercard members were on display including Pan Asia Art Gallery, Pata Jewel Cloning, Yachtpro Sailing School and many more. One business made a barter trade by selling 12 brand new cars at the expo.
Other than uniting Bartercard members, this event caught a lot of interest from foreigners and residents that came along to buy things as well as purchasing lucky raffle tickets to help the Rotary Club of Pattaya to raise funds for charity. The winner of the raffle was a Bartercard member: Khun Suphanan Goldsmith, who won a 3 night hotel package from Club Absolute, worth 10,000 Trade Baht and also a dinner card for 2 at Amor Restaurant, Pattaya. The lucky ticket draw raised over 26,000 Baht for the Rotary Club of Pattaya. Bartercard Pattaya also donated 45,000 Trade Baht to the Rotary Club of Pattaya Barter account.
The money raised at this event will be used in the Rotary Club of Pattaya’s charity events in the future. The next Bartercard Expo will be held approximately 6 month’s time before Christmas. There is also a nationwide Bartercard Trade Expo held every 3 months at the BEC Tero Hall, Bangkok.
